Fake Polling
Political public opinion polling has lost all credibility

Don’t Believe Any Polls

It has become abundantly clear that most companies/organizations conducting public opinion polls have completely abandoned the principles of “scientific” polling. Instead, the goal of political polling now is to grab headlines, embellish a candidate, defeat a candidate, or drive/diminish the popularity of an ideological position.

While the accuracy and integrity of political polling has been declining steadily since the 2016 election, it hit rock bottom with the primary contests in the current 2026 mid-term election cycle. The standout examples are the Democrat primary for the open US Senate seat in Michigan, the Democrat primary for Governor of Wisconsin, and the jungle primary for Mayor of Los Angeles.

In each of these races, the polling was grossly inaccurate, in one case by more than 30 percentage points. One polling firm, Median Strategies, even admitted they fabricated poll results in order to perform what they called a “social experiment”. Experiment or not, the major news services all reported those fake poll results as fact right up to election day. It’s as if the media organizations got the poll results they really wanted and couldn’t wait to report them.

The same is true for almost all polling on the approval rating for President Trump. During the last two years, the only truly accurate “poll” measuring approval for Donald Trump was the 2024 election itself. In that poll, which included over 156 million people, Trump’s approval rating was 50% (he received 50% of the popular vote and 58% of the electoral vote). His supporters valued his campaign promises and believed in his ability to deliver on them:

  • Securing the border
  • Deporting illegal aliens
  • Lowering inflation
  • Cutting taxes for workers and seniors
  • Rolling back Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs
  • Reducing Violent Crime
  • Preventing Iran from developing nuclear weapons

Just 18 months into his Presidency, Trump has delivered on all these promises, some of them to an extraordinary degree. The year 2026 has seen the lowest number of illegal border crossings in history, with exactly zero illegal aliens being released into the interior of the country during the last 15 months. In that same time, over 3.2 million illegal aliens have been deported.

The average inflation rate thus far under Trump’s 2nd term is 3%, which is less than half of the average inflation rate during the Biden administration (average of 6.2% with a peak of 9.1%). Trump made permanent the 2017 tax cuts, eliminated taxes on tips and overtime (up to certain limits), and greatly increased the standard tax deduction for seniors.

He also eliminated DEI programs throughout the federal government, which included firing or reassigning thousands of employees from the prior administration who were serving those goals. Just recently, the prominent accounting firm Deloitte paid a $21.5M settlement to the Justice Department after being investigated for DEI based discrimination in government contracts.

Since Trump took office for his 2nd term, violent crime in the US has declined by the largest percentage since the FBI began reporting crime data in 1936. Additionally, the murder rate in this country has dropped to the lowest level in over 100 years. When Trump said during his campaign he would reduce violent crime, did anyone really anticipate these kinds of results?

These facts are all easily verifiable. Nevertheless, polling organizations and gleeful anti-Trump news media outlets are widely reporting Trump’s approval rating at only 33% as of today. Is it logical or reasonable to conclude that Trump has lost more than a third of his supporters in less than two years after meeting or exceeding all the campaign promises those lost supporters voted for?

Impressively, the Trump Administration accomplished all these things while constantly having to contend with rogue leftist judges trying to thwart the will of the people and impose their progressive ideology on national and foreign policy matters. These judges are acting entirely on blind hatred of Donald Trump. TDS has overtaken their souls and erased any fealty they once had for the law. These are truly deranged people and an embarrassment to our country and the rule of law.

Perhaps most importantly, Trump has, and continues to, follow through on his promise to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon. The “war” in Iran is a topic that pollsters continually proclaim is dragging Trump’s numbers down. Of course, the mostly negatively biased news reporting on Iran feeds this narrative. Here’s an example:

The news media, in concert with Iranian leadership (such as it is), continue to refer to the present situation with Iran as a stalemate and that the US could lose. Really? The fact is that the US devastated Iran’s nuclear infrastructure in a single night last summer. And this past winter, the US destroyed nearly all of Iran’s military capacity (Army, Air Force, and Navy) in just a few weeks.

The Iranians were so overwhelmed in both these events, they weren’t able to put up any credible resistance at all. To have a war, at least two parties need to be fighting each other. Apart from indiscriminately firing a relatively small number of missiles at anyone in their vicinity (and not specifically at the US), Iran has been unable to make war in anything close to the usual sense. What has occurred in Iran during the last year is much better described as a complete disarmament operation. In what universe could this possibly be characterized as a stalemate or a loss?

In conclusion, do not believe any political opinion polls this election season. They have become nothing more than click bait and are a cynical attempt to stop you from analyzing and judging facts right in front of your face.
