In the barely four months since his inauguration, President Trump has driven a stake into the heart of the deep state, caused House and Senate democrats to behave like clowns on immigration and the budget, moved the US back into the catbird seat in foreign policy, and is assertively steering the country back to our original cultural and moral values.
If this doesn’t appear obvious, it’s because of the still hateful anti-Trump media, the raft of leftist judges believing they (not Trump) are the chief executive, and the still-raging TDS1 epidemic. Even less obvious are the unanticipated downstream effects of these successes. These are highly significant yet remain unheralded amidst the cacophony of media headlines and social media posts. Here are some examples:
The Capture of the Middle Class – exit polling after the election stunned many observers as it revealed just how much of the middle-class vote had shifted from the Democrat party to the Republican party. This included a significant share of both the African American and Hispanic vote. Now, after experiencing Trump in office again for almost four months, current polling shows Trump’s middle-class support holding steady. Trump has managed to steal a core Democrat constituency right out from under them.
Immigration – Trump has been so aggressively fulfilling his campaign promises regarding the border and illegal immigration, that congressional democrats and liberal judges are saying and doing things that are utterly ridiculous. A small sampling:
- a democrat senator and three democrat members of the House traveled to a foreign country (El Salvador) to give aid and comfort to a criminal deportee who is also an MS-13 gang member.
- two liberal district court judges, one in Texas and one in Wisconsin, aided and abetted illegal aliens by intentionally shielding them from federal authorities. Both these judges have been indicted and will likely face jail time, thus ending their careers.
- in another deranged show of support for criminal illegal aliens, three democrat members of Congress stormed the gates of an immigration detention center in Newark, New Jersey. One of the three, Lamonica McIver, assaulted an immigration officer in the process (on video no less) and has since been arrested.
Federal Spending – Nearly all of Trump’s efforts to streamline government operations, reduce the size of the workforce and cut costs are being challenged in court by democrat states and left-leaning organizations. A side effect of these court filings, advocated by congressional democrats, is that the naked truth of liberal fiscal policy is being repeatedly exposed. Democrats are actively demonstrating they are completely opposed to any spending restraints or limits on the size of government.
Biden’s Health (as President) – Trump doesn’t have to proclaim that the liberal media is “fake news” anymore. They are now admitting as much with their own ongoing revelations about Biden’s deteriorated mental state while in office. Tell-all books and confessional-styled interviews are the vehicles being used to let the liberal media “unburden” themselves of their journalist malpractice regarding Biden’s cognitive state during his presidency. With palpable irony, they are also cashing in on this delayed “honest” reporting in the grand spirit of American capitalism (which they also hate).
Tariffs – The US has been on the short end of the stick with international trade since the 1970’s. Until now, no President has been willing to address this increasingly lopsided trade deficit. Acting on another signature campaign promise, Trump attacked this head on by shocking the system with multiple levels of wide-ranging tariffs on every trading partner. Democrats and the news media panicked, screaming “recession” and “economic disaster”, causing the stock market to panic as well. Meanwhile, Trump’s actions worked exactly as intended by immediately bringing more than 150 countries to the negotiating table. This never would’ve happened otherwise. This is the relevant tariff story, not the temporary and headline-grabbing gyrations of the stock market.
Elite Universities – Fulfilling yet another of his campaign promises, Trump promptly proceeded to eradicate DEI from the federal government. That effort extended to non-government organizations that accept federal money. When it came to universities, the Administration imposed additional rules restricting male participation in women’s sports, barring racial discrimination in admissions, and eliminating antisemitism on campus. The “stick” used to enforce these measures was to withhold federal money in the form of grants and aid to those schools. Amazingly, several of these elite universities have chosen to die on this hill and give up hundreds of millions of federal dollars. Harvard, in particular, is so committed to protecting DEI, race-based admissions, antisemitic violence and hate speech, they have been willing to part with more than $2B in grant money. Now they also face losing their visa sponsorship program and therefore all of their international students. This is about 27% of Harvard’s student body.
Beneath all the grandstanding by university presidents and government officials is the far less reported story that applications to these elite universities have dropped (a lot). The top students are opting instead for colleges that draw less fire and attention and concentrate more on learning in a fairer and safer environment.
Pharmaceuticals – This one is interesting, not for what has already happened, but for what is about to happen. Reducing prescription drug prices and forcing “Big Pharma” to sell drugs in the US for the same price they charge overseas has been a signature policy goal for the progressive left for a long time. Bernie Sanders has been its main champion. Then in one fell swoop via a single executive order, Trump not only transformed this liberal keystone into a conservative policy point, but he also put the drug companies on the defensive. This creates an untenable situation for both the drug companies and many progressive democrats. It forces the drug companies to act now or get penalized. We predict these companies will sue the government by seeking yet another injunction on a Trump executive order. It also forces TDS-infected democrats to, God forbid, agree with Trump or else foolishly resist a policy goal they’ve steadfastly supported for many years.
Despite all the judicial roadblocks, Trump’s aggressive and decisive actions on his key campaign promises are so unhinging the left that they are devolving to ridiculous and self-immolating positions. These side effects of Trump’s actions may end up being the most useful tools yet for delivering on all his promises. At the very least, we are being regaled with an amazing demonstration of the illogic and insanity of the progressive left.
1 Trump Derangement Syndrome – a disease that causes a person to viscerally hate Donald Trump and lose all semblance of logic, reason and decorum when the topic of Trump comes up. The condition is best exemplified by former congresswoman Liz Chaney.

Wow, you’ve covered the current State of the Union perfectly! Trump came into 47 locked and loaded, prepared for the shenanigans of the Marxists and haters of our democracy. He is bringing back the principals established as a bottom-up government, whereby every able person should participate in our fiscal stability and overall security. The benevolent compassion of our goverment has been overwhelmed by extremists that have come close to bankrupting are financial status with entitlements abuse. They have also systematically made a mockery of our justice system by twisting our laws away from the intended judicial meanings.
My hope is that he continues the aggressive push of the first four months. Forty-four more months to go. I can’t quite wrap my head around that timeline but it’s going to be interesting to watch the benefits for all – and frustration of the naysayers!
I totally agree with you about wrapping our heads around the fact that there are still 44 months to go. I’m confident Trump and his team can sustain warp 10 for a long time and that the democrats won’t be able to keep up. Speaking of being overwhelmed by extremists, the next post is likely going to be about Harvard again. We’ve already written three articles about Harvard, the first one dating back to 2017. In our most recent Harvard rant (2023), we quite mistakenly proclaimed that it couldn’t get any worse for them. Boy were we wrong…
And don’t forget MAHA!
