The Democrat Party Cataclysm

In professional sports, when a team has multiple bad seasons in a row, or even just one really bad season, the owner typically opts to “rebuild”. It usually involves getting rid of most of the existing players, even including those who may have been considered “stars” at one time. The entire coaching staff is replaced, and a slew of new young players are brought in. The new players are selected not only for their athletic skills but also for their complimentary talents and compatibility with one another. A whole new team is created from scratch. This process can take several years to complete.

This is precisely what the Democrat Party desperately needs. Right now, nothing is working for them. They continue to cling fiercely to the old game plan – destroy Donald Trump at any cost. That plan drove them to their present point of stunning collapse. Now, to make matters worse, they are being pummeled with a daily barrage of heavy artillery from Team Trump (executive orders, firings, spending freezes, etc.) on their way down the political black hole they dug for themselves.

While the Democrats are disintegrating, Trump is demonstrating to perfection, at lightning speed, exactly how a team rebuilding process optimally works. He has put in place Cabinet members who are young, energetic, and exceptionally articulate. They all have complementary skills and abilities and, so far, are acting as a close-knit team.

But rather than try to improve themselves in a similar way and raise the level of political competition and discourse, the Democrat strategy is to dementedly resist everything Trump says and does, as they have  for years. No logic, no reasoning, no new ideas, just blind amateurish resistance.

This oafish response to Trump was on spectacular display during the President’s recent address to a joint session of Congress. You have truly reached rock bottom when you are compelled to sit on your hands and moan during an uplifting introduction and the honoring of a 13-year-old brain cancer survivor.

The Democrat’s sole line of attack is the same as it has been for much of the last decade – via the court system. Both Barack Obama and Joe Biden seeded the federal court system with far-left partisan judges and prosecutors. The activism inherent in these individuals wasn’t needed at the time they were appointed. It was to be used later against a future Republican candidate, as we saw  occur unceasingly, in disgusting detail, during Trump’s four-year hiatus from government service.1 Now, they are deploying it against Trump’s current administration by issuing nationwide injunctions, inserting open-ended delays and overturning Presidential policy decisions. Already, more than 100 lawsuits have been filed challenging Trump policies since he took office.

This must be stopped quickly and forcefully. Americans voted for these policies. They represent the will of the people and are not to be stymied by the whim of maniacal partisan judges. There are several such cases likely on their way to the Supreme Court that should put an end to this absurdity.2

As Trump and Musk continue to rid the federal government of leftist deep state actors, we are seeing ever more clearly that the Democrat team is rudderless. It’s former political “stars” (Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Elizabeth Warren, Dick Durbin, et.al.) are not leading, they are merely broadcasting their favorite individual screeds endlessly, and at top volume. The Democrat “team” is no longer being managed by a traditional “coach” and staff. The party exists as an assemblage of fiefdoms all acting independently throughout the federal bureaucracy in pursuit of a permanently progressive governing body. As these fiefdoms are now being decapitated, the Democrats are increasingly demonstrating that they are a panicking group of bellicose incompetents.

We believe they know they need to rebuild their team, they are simply clueless as to how or when to start.

1 The classified documents case; The January 6th conspiracy case; The RICO case in Georgia; The real estate fraud case brought by Leticia James; The hush money case of prostitute Stormy Daniels.

2 For example, Trump’s firing of the head of the Office of General Council, Hampton Dellinger, has already been reversed, and then reversed again on appeal. This case will likely get to the Supreme Court and set the precedent for most, if not all, of the other lawsuits challenging dismissals of federal employees.

  1. Numerous Trump supporters have expressed the opinion that the Democratic Party is in a downward spiral and must take action to rebuild, reorganize, or rewire their party to prevent the massive short-circuiting that is currently occurring. I concur that they are exhibiting childish behavior, not only during the President’s address to the joint session but also in various inane videos and interviews that have been made public. It is almost embarrassing to witness, akin to watching a subpar reality television show. However, my question is, why should we care? I am not particularly bothered if they choose to act foolishly. To use your sports analogy, if your team wins the World Series, you want them to strive for another victory. If the losing team cannot get their act together, well, I wasn’t rooting for them in the first place.

Suppose the Democratic Party were to disintegrate, spreading themselves thin and being blown away by the March winds; would that truly be a negative outcome? I believe that having differing points of view is valuable, and there will always be topics to debate within the Republican Party. That is the essence of healthy discussion—it allows us to expand our knowledge and think critically about matters of importance. Personally, I would be relieved to never again have to debate the physically and psychologically damaging effects of administering puberty blockers to prepubescent children or explain why Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives fail to benefit the very individuals they are intended to support.

In essence, is there a compelling reason to desire the Democrats to rebuild? I propose letting them continue their current course and allow the American people to vote them off the island!

    1. Excellent point Ellen. I do agree that the current incarnation of the Democrat party, particularly the hyper-progressive end (squad members, Bernie Sanders, Liz Warren, etc.) needs to go away for good. They want to write their own version of American history, jettison most of the Constitution, impose a weird form of morality, and move us closer to a socialist society. If they don’t go away on their own, they need to be completely and totally defeated.

That being said, the Republicans do need some competition to keep themselves honest. There are a couple ways for that to happen. The most obvious is for the Democrat party to repair itself and continue the two major party model we’ve had since the mid-1800’s. There is also another intriguing model however, which was what we did from 1788 to about 1840. In that part of our history, candidates for office were not generally aligned with a “big” party. The voting for President, Senators, and House members proceeded much like we see today in the state primary contests where there are usually more candidates than just two.

This led to some fascinating outcomes, like the 1824 election. In that case, Andrew Jackson, who won the popular vote and got the most electoral college votes, actually lost the election (John Quincy Adams won). This can happen when there are no parties, and the electoral votes end up being split between 4 or 5 candidates. Jackson had to wait until 1828 to get to the White House.

  2. Well done! I love the sports team analogy. Fortunately for conservatives, Democrats will struggle to rebuild because the new talent they are recruiting comes from schools that reward radical behavior and the radical initiatives continue to be their failing strategy for a winning team.
The judges they’ve produced in the same schools are now the corrupt referees, desperately trying to keep their favorite team in the game.
The question is why? People love to say, it’s only the Democratic leadership and that most Democrats are good caring folks (someone they love is probably on that D team). It’s more likely that they are stubborn, inflexible and rebellious to a fault with a blind loyalty to their team – doubling down with more and more out of touch, ridiculous beliefs. It’s hard to understand why 48.3% of our presidential voting population wished; to allow career criminals, rapists and murderers to walk the streets, allow convicted illegal aliens to be coddled and funded by our tax dollars, allow biological males to say “hey, today I feel like a woman” and compete in sports against biological females (let’s not forget they can switch back and forth if they choose), to allow innocent college students to be harassed and terrified by mobs because of their faith, to allow radical prosecutors and judges to prosecute and imprison political opponents, to condone destructive riots, to destroy businesses and careers with wild west intimidation & threatening for made up forced DEI, to create government schemes that funnel taxpayer funds to nefarious groups that hate America – and thats the short list. So, once again why?
Philosopher William of Ockham had it right in what he said about 700 years ago, the simple answer is more often the correct answer. All of the people that make up that 48.3% (owners and players of the D Team) are not good people or require psychiatric help because they support the criminal behavior in that list and continue to vote in likeness. I will allow grace to the dead people that voted in that 48.3%.

    1. An Ockham’s Razor reference – I love it! Great point about the complete lack of a “farm” team or rookie class for the Democrats. They’ve made their own bed with what they did to the education system over the last 50 years. In an odd irony, with the Department of Education being eliminated and the states assuming total responsibility, the education outcomes are likely to improve dramatically. That’s because school choice will now bloom, particularly in the red states, and the teachers’ unions will disintegrate into nothingness.

Unfortunately for the Democrats, they will have to wait at least 15 – 20 years for these changes to the education system to bear fruit for them on a regular basis. Meanwhile, they’re stuck with all the Rachel Maddow disciples and other loonies who simply have to age off.

Since we wrote this post, there have been three more preposterous decisions against Trump by far-left judges. A California judge ordered Trump to hire back all the probationary people he fired. Another judge ordered Trump to restore the security clearances of Perkins Coi law firm employees. And yet another ordered Musk to turn over all information about DOGE employees and all the DOGE plans for finding efficiency, waste, and fraud. Pretty soon, he should just start ignoring these.
