Whether you call it cheating, interference, fraud or tampering, there is no hiding from the fact that the last two U.S. elections were polluted with an unprecedented level of chicanery. That the Federal Government itself was the primary culprit in two audacious deceptions to sway the vote is stunning. This same government, along with abettors in the news media, has convinced about half the voting public that there is “nothing to see here” and that their historically aberrant actions are completely justified by the existential threat of an opposing ideology. With the 2024 election cycle now underway, our government is right back at it, engaging in the same despicable behavior as in the previous two elections. And they are doing it right in front of our faces as if we won’t even notice. Here is a brief summary:
2016:
Prior to the election of 2016, the FBI (under President Obama) in conjunction with the Hillary Clinton Campaign, fabricated an elaborate Russian hoax attempting to connect candidate Donald Trump to corrupt and deceitful activities with the Russian Government. The FBI sensationalized this tall tale further to include Trump romping with prostitutes as well as peeing on a bed that the Obama’s supposedly slept in. The FBI used this made-up story to illegally justify surveillance warrants on Trump and several of his associates. Democrats in Congress then spent more than $30 million of taxpayer money on an “investigation” lasting several years in an odious attempt to legitimize the claims made in the hoax. The entirety of this story was proven to be false. It was the first time in history the US Government went to such lengths, by weaponizing it’s intelligence and law enforcement services, to try and defeat a political opponent.
2020:
Despite claims to the contrary by Donald Trump and many of his supporters, there was not enough detailed evidence of tampering in the 2020 election to satisfy any court that the specific number of votes needed to change the election result were fraudulent. However, that does not change the fact that fraud did occur in this election on two main fronts.
First were all the nefarious activities that sprung from the government-mandated voting “accommodations” due to the COVID pandemic. Bad actors availed themselves of a range of new opportunities to sway results that were not possible in previous elections. Unsolicited mail-in ballots requiring minimal or no ID verification were the easiest mark and were heavily abused in a number of states. People “stuffing” clumps of these ballots into drop boxes in the middle of the night were caught on video in multiple cities. Whether it was orchestrated or not, these activities were dispersed enough, and downplayed or ignored enough by liberal governors and election boards, that it precluded any possibility of accurately tabulating the improper/illegal votes.
As bad as the above mischief was, the much larger fraud ahead of the 2020 election was the FBI coverup of Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop. On this laptop was evidence that implicated then Democrat candidate Joe Biden in a bribery scheme with a foreign government while he was Barack Obama’s Vice-President. This is in addition to damming evidence of influence peddling and money laundering offenses committed by Hunter Biden.
The FBI knew all of this ahead of the 2020 election and did everything in their power to suppress the information and prevent it from reaching voters. That included pressuring social media companies such as Twitter and Facebook to censor any user content relating to the story. It also included fabricating another hoax that the Russians (the Bureau’s “go to” boogeyman) planted false information on the laptop and that the laptop likely wasn’t even Hunter’s. That provided the basis for a letter from more than 50 former Intelligence officials, all well-established Trump haters, supporting the hoax that this laptop was filled with Russian disinformation.
This 2nd Russian hoax, like the 1st one, has since been shown to be categorically false. Also, the FBI has now acknowledged that the laptop was Hunter’s, and the information on it authentic. The details of Joe Biden’s involvement in the bribery scheme are now finally being investigated and made public by the House Judiciary Committee. Since the reality of the information on this laptop became public, nearly every poll taken has indicated many of those who voted for Joe Biden would not have done so had they known about the contents of this laptop in advance.
2024:
Amazingly, as atrocious as the above targeted government attacks against Donald Trump have been over the last 8 years, they have not weakened him politically at all. He remains, by a large margin, the candidate of choice for the Republican nomination in 2024, and the principal opponent to Joe Biden and the Democrats. As a result, Democrats and the never-Trump crowd are doubling down hard on a new loathsome tactic. They believe manufacturing multiple indictments against Trump will erode his core support and/or pressure him to withdraw from the race. The usual suspects in the liberal media are doing all they can to hype the significance of these indictments. They are now also being joined by portions of the never-Trump conservative press.
On that front, none other than the formerly stalwart conservative publication “National Review” is leading the stop-Trump crusade on the right. Their never-ending string of articles condemning Donald Trump, and their obsession with the events at the Capitol on January 6th 2021 is pathetic and more typical of CNN or MSNBC. The best way to describe National Review in this regard is that they are suffering from an aggressive and possibly terminal case of Liz Chaney disease (i.e. Trump Derangement Syndrome).
The perfect example of how these perverse legal actions against Trump are purely intended to alter the result of the upcoming election is the case of the retained classified documents. Almost completely erased from the news is the fact that both former Vice-President Mike Pence and President Joe Biden himself have also been caught “improperly” retaining classified documents at their homes and/or private offices.
In no way are these two cases at their core any less “improper” than what Trump is being accused of. Yet, the Biden and Pence transgressions are being completely ignored by the Department of Justice while the Trump case is being pursued with maximum force. It is more than arguable that the case of Biden’s retention of classified documents is far more “improper” than either Trump or Pence. Biden’s collection of classified records goes back decades. He never possessed the power to declassify information as a Senator or as Vice-President. And his classified documents were stored in multiple locations far less guarded than Trump’s residence at Mara Lago.
We know a lot of people don’t like the raucous and bellicose personality of Donald Trump. But in this case, Biden, Pence, and Trump are either all guilty or none of them are. Our judicial system was created to apply justice equally under the law, not to persecute political opponents. That is what dictators do.
